Principal's Message

St. James the Apostle Catholic Elementary School

It is a pleasure to serve the St. James the Apostle School Community as a Principal. St. James the Apostle School was the elementary school I attended and it is a wonderful place to be.
It puts a smile on my heart to see how this community continues to flourish and impact the lives of many.
One of our fundamental beliefs is that we are all equally created in the image and likeness of God. Here at the school we make it a priority to put Christ at the centre of all we do.
St. James the Greater; our Patron Saint, was one of Jesus’ closest friends who chose to follow Him at all costs. We will try our best to follow the example of St. James.
At St. James we aim to build good relationships with our students based on mutual respect and trust. We provide our students with the tools to become successful independent, critical thinkers.
We are committed to establishing a school environment which allows our students the freedom to express themselves and room to grow as human beings and learners while setting appropriate
boundaries.
Wonderful places and wonderful things, don’t just happen by chance. It is through the partnership and collaboration of the home, parish and school that we reap many benefits.
We value our partnership with our Pastor; Fr. Reitzel who is influential in our spiritual development.
As the family is the first educator of their children, we encourage and support them to be involved in their child(ren)’s learning. We work together at building positive relationships and a welcoming school climate
where all students are learning and thriving!

May God continue to bless our school community.
